ABOUT YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER
Michelle has spent the last decade developing her photographic style, passion, and specialty for photographing women in business.
In 2020, Michelle became a mother herself and found a new appreciation for all mothers. She has quickly understood how fleeting our time is with our little ones.
Photography is a powerful art form that allows us to capture our family milestones and moments in our lives while leaving a legacy for future generations.
Sadly, as you flip through many old photo albums, you will notice mothers are often missing from the photographs. Michelle wants to help women exist in portraits and encourage busy mothers to remove the pressures of daily life - if only for an afternoon to embrace their beauty and strength.
Each photo shoot is custom designed to align with her client's style and personality to create a collection of stunning and timeless portraits to be shared with future generations. Many clients often remark that their fears of being in front of the camera faded instantly due to Michelle's guidance and expert posing.
Michelle has been interviewed on NBC 6 local news and featured in various publications, including The Florida Luxury Guide, Ocean Drive Magazine, and the Bizz Talk Radio Show. Her work has graced the covers of multiple magazines.
Savannah College of Art and Design has recognized Michelle's talent as a Distinguished Alumnus. She began this work as part of her artist residency within the SCAD Alumni Atelier Associate in Savannah.

What do I wear?
After booking your photo shoot experience, you will receive an email containing the Michelle Citrin Studios style inspiration guide and link to schedule a style consultation call with Michelle.
Many clients bring Michelle into their closets via FaceTime as she walks you through what looks best on camera.
After selecting the outfits you will wear during your photoshoot, Michelle will provide suggestions for your children or loved ones to wear that compliments that overall look and feel you wish to achieve in your finished portraits.
When do I see my pictures?
About 2-3 days following your photoshoot, you will have an opportunity to sit with Michelle in the comfort of your home to design and purchase your fine art portraits with Michelle.
This is always a lot of fun as you have a chance to relive your photo shoot and work closely with Michelle as she helps to create custom art work just for your home.
I’m nervous… I don’t know how to “pose” in pictures.
It's ok to be nervous, and you are in great hands.
Michelle and her team specialize in photographing women and will be there to direct you throughout the day.
Michelle is a posing expert for all women and will walk you through every little movement to ensure you look incredible in every image.
How long is the photoshoot?
The motherhood series is a half-day private photo shoot that usually lasts about 3 to 4 hours for the whole experience.
Hairstyling and Makeup Application begins at the time of your scheduled session and will take about an hour.
How are my images delivered?
Michelle will work with you to design your dream photoshoot and create timeless portraits to be shared and cherished by your family for years.
Our portraits are printed on the finest museum quality and handmade materials in America and Italy.
Each framed wall portrait will be professionally installed in your home complimentary.
The corresponding digital version of the image is included with the purchase of any portrait collection, a portfolio box, wall art, or a handcrafted album.
How will I get my kids to behave and pose for the photos?
Kids will be kids!
We are fully prepared to expect unexpected moments to happen during your photo shoot, and often, those become some of our favorite portraits to share and display.
We want to highlight and showcase your strength and beauty as a mother, caretaker, carpool lane driver, snack fetcher, and the one we call to celebrate the good times and lean on when we just need the love only a mother can provide.
Michelle is an expert at posing women in ways that flatter the body and make you feel your absolute best!
Can I celebrate motherhood with my adult daughter, mother, or sisters?
We would absolutely love to photograph the beautiful women in your family together! Book a consultation call with Michelle to plan your dream mother & daughter portrait shoot.
What do I do about my hair and makeup?
One of our celebrity makeup artists who specializes in natural glamour will apply your makeup. We welcome you to bring a photo for inspiration or allow her to do her magic so you can relax in the case.
Just arrive comfortable with your outfits ready and any makeup inspiration photos you may have.
Is it possible to be photographed outside of the studio?
Of course! We have photographed our clients in their homes and on their properties.
Michelle and her team are also experienced with destination photo shoots both nationally and internationally, and will help you make your dream photo shoot an unforgettable experience.
When is the payment due?
We require a 50% non-refundable credit card payment to reserve your photo shoot date due to the popularity of these sessions and Michelle's limited availability.
This payment is due during your initial booking phone call.
The remaining balance is due the week before your photoshoot.
Individual Framed portraits begin at $600 and the Fine Art Portrait collections of images begin at $3,5000. As part of your photo shoot experience, you will have $1,000 credit from Michelle Citrin Studios to use during your portrait reveal and ordering appointment. Clients are welcome to apply this credit to their fine art wall portrait collection, heirloom album, and keepsake print box order.
